Proposal And Renewal Process

  • Provide a complete analysis of present coverage.

  • Review current plan experience and loss activity. Regarding employee benefits, we focus on what benefits are utilized most and where the services are provided. Regarding property & casualty insurance, we analyze loss activity to help determine the optimum deductibles and plan design.

  • Prepare bid specifications for submission to the appropriate insurance mechanism.

  • Review proposals and submit a detailed report including benefit, coverage and cost comparisons.

  • Provide a professional recommendation.


Implementation

For Employee Benefits:


  • Provide an implementation schedule outlining deadlines for Grinspec, the carrier and the employer.

  • Organize employee meetings to present new coverage options or plan changes. This includes preparation of plan comparisons and enrollment materials.

  • Assist employees in filling out the applications to assist in timely implementation.

  • Obtain from the carrier group numbers, benefit books and enrollment information to ensure proper enrollment.

  • Proof and deliver ID cards.

For Property & Casualty:

  • Provide claim reporting procedures for all lines of coverage.

  • Deliver insurance binders, Auto ID cards and certificates of insurance.

  • Review Insurance policy issued vs. coverage and premium requested.


Plan/Insurance Policy Management

Employee Benefits Consulting Services:

  • Assist your employees in resolving any claim problems or disputes that may arise during the course of the year.

  • Review claim experience on an ongoing basis during the policy year to spot any unusual claim fluctuations

  • Analyze major claims that may occur in an effort to minimize employer liability. Through application of proper medical management, such claims can be reduced.

  • Assist the employer in its negotiation process with the various bargaining units. This would include providing ideas and concepts regarding benefit revisions, suggest negotiation methods to accomplish those revisions, and to inform the employer as to what other employers are doing in the geographic area

  • Assist in negotiating renewal rates using our 30 years of experience in the group insurance business. We understand the rate projection formulas and the proper terminology, which enable us to discuss this subject in underwriting terms.

  • Apprise the client of new developments in the group insurance business to include cost containment, cost shifting, flexible benefits and cost management, as well as new financial arrangements and the long range effect and feasibility of such ideas.

  • Periodically provide a wide list of alternative benefit revisions along with rate reductions for such changes.

  • Use our experience in the Group Insurance Business to develop new ideas that would deal with any particular idiosyncrasies of the employer.

  • Recommend strategies to reduce payroll taxes utilizing IRS approved options such as: medical spending accounts, premium conversion plans, or flexible spending accounts.


For Property & Casualty:

  • Review the insurance provisions in leases and contracts presented to client.

  • Recommend insurance program and coverage for new ventures.

  • Issue Certificates of Insurance as needed

  • Manage claims.


Employee Education

  • Provide employees with continuing education to optimize the groups managed care options

  • Provide, if desired, annual open enrollment meetings
