- Review claim experience on an ongoing basis during the

- Analyze major claims that may occur in an effort to minimize
employer liability. Through application of proper medical
management, such claims can be reduced.
- Assist the employer in its negotiation process with the
various bargaining units. This would include providing ideas and
concepts regarding benefit revisions, suggest negotiation methods
to accomplish those revisions, and to inform the employer as to
what other employers are doing in the geographic area.
- Assist in negotiating renewal rates using our 30 years of
experience in the group insurance business. We understand the rate
projection formulas and the proper terminology, which enable us to
discuss this subject in underwriting terms.
- Apprise the client of new developments in the group insurance
business to include cost containment, cost shifting, flexible
benefits and cost management, as well as new financial
arrangements and the long range effect and feasibility of such
ideas.
- Periodically provide a wide list of alternative benefit
revisions along with rate reductions for such changes.
- Use our experience in the group insurance business to develop
new ideas that would deal with any particular idiosyncrasies of
the employer.
- Recommend strategies to reduce payroll taxes utilizing IRS
approved options such as: medical spending accounts, premium
conversion plans, or flexible spending accounts.
Employee Education
- Provide employees with continuing education to optimize the
group's managed care options.
- Provide, if desired, annual open enrollment meetings.
